This week, we are all feeling the tremendous loss of the singular Dolly Parton. She was a unifying force of kindness and whimsy in a divided and brutal world and she will be seriously missed. This week, I will honor her with some of her music, but also by playing music of women singer-songwriters of various genres that Dolly paved the way for.
In addition, we’ll close the show with a special live performance of “I Will Always Love You” by Dolly and Brandi Carlile at the 2019 Newport Folk Festival.
