Arlo Parks visited the Motor City this weekend, so we’ll revisit a tune from her most recent release Ambiguous Desire.
In addition, we are treated to some music that Dolly Parton recorded when she was just a teenager in the form of the 1962 Mercury Recordings, released posthumously. We will hear “It’s Sure Gonna Hurt,” and it feels like she’s sitting in the room here with us today spilling her heart out all over again. It actually reminded me of a track I adore by songwriter Heather Styka, “Please Be Kind,” so I’ll share that with you, too.
