A Band Turned The Office’s Michael Scott Quotes Into Pop Punk Songs

Michael Scott I Know the Crap Out of Women

Do you miss the days of great pop punk songs from the 2000s? Do you miss the U.S. version of The Office? Well now those two worlds collide thanks to a band who clearly loves Michael Scott.

The tracks come from That’s What She Said, Vol. 1. The group, not surprisingly called Michael $cott, takes quotes from the episodes “Women’s Appreciation,” “Safety Training,” and “Diversity Day” and turn each of them into catchy anthems you would hear at Warped Tour.

What really adds to the hilarity are the music videos that use scenes from the show with subtitles of the “lyrics.” As of this writing, “Diversity Day” is the only song that doesn’t have a clip video.

Check out the songs below.

There have been rumors that NBC wanted to semi-reboot their version of The Office, mixing in new characters with the original cast. It looks like that’s becoming more unlikely as time goes on, and OG Michael Scott himself said he wouldn’t take part.

“A lot of what is depicted on that show is completely wrong-minded,” series star Steve Carell told Esquire back in 2018 (h/t Vanity Fair). “That’s the point, you know? But I just don’t know how that would fly now. There’s a very high awareness of offensive things today—which is good, for sure. But at the same time, when you take a character like that too literally, it doesn’t really work.”
