After months of anticipation, Little Ghost is now open and ready to serve Grey Ghost’s popular burgers in Ferndale.
Located at the northwest corner of Woodward Ave and Pearson St, Little Ghost’s pink exterior is hard to miss. It’s the latest offering from restaurant management group Four Man Ladder — joining Grey Ghost, Second Best and Basan — and their first located outside of Detroit’s city limits.

While Little Ghost runs on a carry out business model, there is a small seating area on the southeast side of the building to eat your food. I ordered the double cheeseburger and a side of fries, which cost me around $20 after sales tax and tip. Since I’m already a fan of Grey Ghost’s burger, I knew what to expect and luckily it did not lose any of the deliciousness in its transition to Little Ghost. Aside from the burgers, patrons can also choose from a Nashville chicken sandwich ($13), chicken tenders ($12), all-beef hot dogs ($9) and more.

Little Ghost is open Sunday-Thursday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and 11 a.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Customers will eventually be able to order online for pickup or local delivery.

Four Man Ladder hopes to expand Little Ghost’s fast casual footprint if the Ferndale location proves to be successful.
“We plan to focus all of our time and attention on our flagship Ferndale location as we traverse the new-to-us world of fast casual dining,” chef and co-owner John Vermiglio told Ferndale Radio in January. “Long-term, we hope to bring this concept to a number of locations in and around metro Detroit, but no future plans exist at this time. We can’t wait to introduce ourselves and our food to the incredible residents of Ferndale.”
