Hello, hello! This week on the Peripheral we will hear new music from three power duos from three different universes: The War and Treaty, Haute & Freddy, and Rodrigo y Gabriela. First up, we have “Don’t Say Goodbye” off of the War and Treaty’s new album The Story of Michael and Tanya which comes out tomorrow(!) and is rumored to feature collaborations with Whoopi Goldberg, Valerie June, and Wynonna. We’ll also dive into “Monster,” the powerful new single from instrumentalists Rodrigo y Gabriela who also have a new album slated for September 2026 called Our Home.
In addition, we will hear a couple reimagined rock covers: Yola takes on “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” by Elton John and Saint Etienne puts their own vibey spin on “Only Love Can Break Your Heart” by Neil Young. Plus, new music from KIRBY & Robyn to top the week off.
