As states across the U.S. lift COVID-19 restrictions, live events have started making their return. That includes Ferndale favorite the DIY Street Fair, scheduled for September 24-26.
Festival organizers announced the 2021 dates Monday on their website and social media platforms.
The three-day festival takes place in downtown Ferndale and will feature independent artists, vendors, live music, food stations and more. This year’s DIY Street Fair will be the 13th edition. Vendors interested in participating in the festival can apply at ferndalediy.com.
The live events industry came to a screeching halt in 2020 due to the pandemic. With the continued rollout of vaccines and positive COVID-19 cases decreasing, the state of Michigan will lift all broad epidemic orders on July 1. The state removed outdoor capacity limits on June 1, an important milestone for events like the DIY Street Fair.
